This track was inspired by my Grandmother, who found out that the men had landed on the moon while on the bus, so they all got up to applaud. However she always viewed the moon as something sacred, not to be touched by humanity, spiritual even.
lyrics
Ba ba ba ba ba
Moon man sing your song, all the little men that walk on you sing along
The moon man sings his song and the men sing along
I am the moon man and i'm lonely as heaven
Up with these cold bright stars up above
Oh but your sad you ask why?
My brother earth gets to hang with human guys
But one night in 1969
I saw a little birdie of the spaceship kind
the bird it came and perched on my head
the little men crawled right down its leg
they danced around where the air was thin
They drew little patterns on my skin
they sang
Moon man sing your song all us little men that walk on you sing along
I'm the moon man and I sing my song
All the little men that walk on me sing along
On on me sing along (ad infinitum)
